Incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, the Council represents leading manufacturers, distributors and marketers of fine dairy products in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

We are an organization whose roots run deep. Collectively, our predecessor organizations, the BC Dairy Council and the Alberta Dairy Council, have represented dairy processors in the west for more than half a century.
Our members process more than two billion litres of milk every year – that’s more than 98 per cent of the region’s total milk production – and market a full range of dairy products from fluid milk through cheese, butter, dairy ingredients and everything else in between. |
Each year we contribute almost $3 billion in sales revenue to the economy of Western Canada. We provide direct and indirect employment for more than 6,000 Western Canadians and downstream employment for thousands more.
We supply all major distribution channels. You’ll find our members’ products just about everywhere you’d expect -- from grocery stores to restaurants and stadiums -- and many you wouldn’t -- like medical laboratories and athletic centres.
