Incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, the Council represents leading manufacturers, distributors and marketers of fine dairy products in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. |

We’re a new organization whose roots run deep. Collectively, our predecessor organizations, the BC Dairy Council and the Alberta Dairy Council, have represented dairy processors in the west for more than half a century.
Our members process more than two billion litres of milk every year – that’s more than 96% of the region’s total milk production – and market a full range of dairy products from fluid milk through cheese, butter, dairy ingredients and everything else in between. Each year we contribute almost $3 billion in sales revenue to the economy of Western Canada. We provide direct and indirect employment for more than 6000 Western Canadians and downstream employment for thousands more. |
We supply all major distribution channels. You’ll find our members’ products just about everywhere you’d expect -- from grocery stores to restaurants and stadiums -- and many you wouldn’t -- like medical laboratories and athletic centres.
